We are a locally owned, family run Private Hire ‘Taxi’ Business which has been established for over 10 years. We have strong and long standing links with our community.

About me : I ( Ken ) have been resident in Wivenhoe for 30 years, formally working in the City of London in the shipping industry for nearly 20 years. Holding various positions through Sales and Operations in various rolls - with Line management level being my final one. After putting myself through higher education in Computer Science at Anglia Polytechnic and then finding an age problem, I eventually opened a Video Store in the village, Video Paradiso, with became quite infamous, stocking the largest and most diverse collection of World Cinema Film in East Anglia. These accolades were bestowed on me by my customers : university staff, students, local artists and film connoisseurs, from all over the world. My ‘Taxi ‘ business began on the back of the store and has been operating for 10 years. VP stands for Video Paradiso

With my city experience coupled with my shop proprietorship, I believe I know what customers want, not necessarily my chatting - but that’s me, but a smiling, friendly and courteous response to customer needs.

Importantly, we have built up a network of polite, capable and reliable drivers ( operating with the same ethos as ours ) who work with me and can attend to attend to most ‘taxi’ demands, account or otherwise.
